Kali Linux 2025.1a Release: A New Year with Exciting Updates

We are thrilled to announce the release of Kali Linux 2025.1a, marking a new chapter in our journey towards providing an unparalleled cybersecurity platform. This update builds upon our previous releases, incorporating enhancements and improvements to streamline your experience.

A Fresh New Look: 2025 Theme

This year, we are excited to unveil our latest theme, thoughtfully designed to enhance the user experience from the moment you start up. Expect notable updates to the boot menu, login screen, and a stunning selection of desktop wallpapers for both Kali and Kali Purple editions.

Community Wallpapers: A Celebration of Community Talent

Our commitment extends beyond cybersecurity advancements; we strive to ensure that our platform's aesthetics are just as impressive as its capabilities. We would like to extend our gratitude to the community for their contributions, including yesimxev, Robin, and g0tmi1k, who have helped us with various bug fixes.

Kali NetHunter: A Hackers' Dream Come True

For fans of Kali NetHunter, we are excited to announce the addition of a new "CAN Arsenal" tab, allowing you to hack cars straight from your pocket! Additionally, V0lk3n has ported Samsung HID patch for Samsung phones, which was previously not possible.

A Dynamic Wallpaper: A New Era in Installation

Our installer now comes with a dynamic wallpaper, courtesy of Robin. This means you can add new devices with unique resolutions without having to port an existing wallpaper.

Weekly Builds and Fresh Images: For the Busy User

For those who cannot wait for our next release or want the latest packages (or bug fixes), we offer weekly builds that you can use as well. These automated builds may not be QA'd like our standard release images, but we gladly take bug reports to ensure issues are fixed before our next release.

Existing Installs: A Quick Update

If you already have an existing Kali Linux installation, remember that you can always do a quick update. We recommend starting with a fresh image for the new kernels, as we do not support upgrading to the new kernels.

Bug Reports and Social Media: Get Involved!

As always, if you come across any bugs in Kali, please submit a report on our bug tracker. We cannot fix what we do not know is broken! And don't forget to follow us on social media for the latest updates and behind-the-scenes peeks into our project.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way. This project would not be possible without your contributions, bug reports, and enthusiasm. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for Kali Linux!
