Hacker Attempt?: A Desperate Search for Clues

Last night, something strange happened on my computer. I was awoken from sleep mode to find two identical copy file prompts on my screen, warning me that someone had attempted to hack into my PC.

The prompt showed a suspicious file named "lb 60m.vbs" with the username removed from its path. However, when I checked my files and folders, this file did not exist anywhere on my system. The ConnectWiseControl folder, which is often used by attackers to gain access to sensitive information, was also absent in both my Documents and Program Files directories.

I'm a bit of a self-taught programmer, trying to learn new skills to improve my employability after being unemployed for some time. I've been running cracked software, including Autodesk's AutoCAD, Inventor, and Revit, as well as SolidWorks, in an effort to gain experience with these applications.

During this process, I encountered issues when trying to convert the .exe files of my cracked software to text format using Convert.Guru. The tool flagged two of my files - "SolidSQUADLoaderEnabler.reg" and "sw2025_network_serials_licensing.reg" - as containing viruses, specifically Sanesecurity.Badmacro.Xls.credriv.UNOFFICIAL FOUND.

Another file, KMS_VL_ALL_AIO_v53.cmd, was also flagged as potentially malicious by the tool. I'm aware that using cracked software can be a high-risk activity, and I want to make sure my system is clean before applying for jobs in the industry.

I suspect that the AdskNLM.exe file, which is an installer for Autodesk's Autodraft 2020-2026 cracked NLM, may have been the source of the infection. However, without more information or a clear understanding of what happened, it's difficult to say for certain.

To try and identify and remove the infection, I ran Scan in FRST64.exe, which produced two log files that I've shared here. The goal is to find any potential threats or malware on my system and take steps to remove them, ensuring that my computer is safe to use again.

Will this be enough? Only time will tell, but one thing's for sure: I need to stay vigilant and proactive in maintaining the security of my digital assets.
