The Burning Hells Beckon: Glass Cannon Unplugged and Genuine Entertainment Bring Diablo: The Roleplaying Game to Kickstarter This Fall
Indianapolis, IN – August 4, 2025 – Get ready for a thrilling adventure as Glass Cannon Unplugged and Genuine Entertainment announce the upcoming tabletop RPG, Diablo: The Roleplaying Game. This highly anticipated game is set to launch on Kickstarter this fall, with a planned retail release in late Summer 2026, just in time for BlizzCon 2026.
Diablo: The Roleplaying Game is a co-production between Glass Cannon Unplugged and Genuine Entertainment, led by Joe LeFavi, writer, and loremaster on the RPG series. With a team of top designers, including Przemyslaw Zub (Dying Light), Cam Banks (Marvel Heroic Roleplaying), John Harper (Blades in the Dark), Mike Olson (Fate Accelerated), and Shawn Tomkin (Ironsworn), this game promises to deliver an epic experience for fans of tabletop roleplaying games.
One of the most exciting features of Diablo: The Roleplaying Game is its unique d6 dice pool system, forged by the roundtable of top designers. This innovative system allows players to live the epic-level dream from session zero, with magic gear equipped and mastery skills unlocked from day one. Fan-favorite classes like Barbarians, Druids, Necromancers, Rogues, and Sorcerers come alive at the game table, ready to hack and slash their way through mobs and impossible odds in cinematic, tactical combat.
"In most TTRPGs, it'd take years before you're leveled up enough to experience the dream advertised on the cover," said LeFavi. "In Diablo: The Roleplaying Game, however, your Level 1 hero steps into Sanctuary already powerful enough to take down the hordes of Hell." This approach flips the script on character creation, allowing players to begin as a hardened survivor ready to plunge into the darkest dungeons from the moment they sit down to play.
Sanctuary is no ordinary world. Every choice matters in this rich, immersive adventure, where relentless mobs and moral peril wear down your defenses, and story, stats, and synergies all hold sway over life & death stakes rarely decided by dice alone. Gloriously grim dark, brutal choices await players on and off the battlefield as they root out all evils, even those within – daring inner angels and demons to roll the dice and discover who they truly are.
The game's core rulebook promises to be a treasure trove of over 300 pages of game rules, rich lore, detailed maps, and gorgeous artwork. The book covers will be designed by Antonio De Luca and Blizzard Principal Concept Artist, Igor Sidorenko, with original interior art from Sidorenko, De Luca, and other fan favorites.
Alongside the Core Rulebook is Volume 1 of an ongoing anthology of one-shot adventures. Each stand-alone tale will be crafted by a different designer on the RPG dream team, including Cullen Bunn (Horror County), John Harper (Blades in the Dark), Graham McNeill (Warhammer), Micky Neilson (Diablo), Francesco Nepitello & Umberto Pignatelli (Lord of the Rings), MJ Newman (Arkham Horror), Grégory Thomazo (Shadows of Esteren), Shawn Tomkin & Matt Click (Ironsworn), and more.
"The narrative depth and breadth of Diablo: The Roleplaying Game is limitless," said LeFavi. "This anthology allows us to lead by example and couch co-op with our favorite dice rollers as they explore Sanctuary and what makes this world so demonically delicious on their own terms."
