You are seeing this message because our administrator has set up Anubis, a system designed to protect our server against the malicious activities of AI-powered bot scrapers. These aggressive companies have been scraping websites at an alarming rate, making resources inaccessible to everyone. Anubis is a compromise that we hope will help mitigate this issue.

**How It Works**

Anubis uses a Proof-of-Work scheme similar to Hashcash, a proposed solution for reducing email spam. At an individual scale, the additional load may seem negligible, but when used by mass scrapers, it becomes much more expensive. The idea is that this added cost will discourage bot scrapers from targeting our website.

**A Hack with a Bigger Purpose**

While Anubis may seem like a hack, its true purpose lies in giving us time to develop better solutions. By implementing this system, we can focus on fingerprinting and identifying headless browsers, which are often used by legitimate users but are also exploited by bot scrapers.

**Requirements for Accessing Our Website**

To bypass Anubis, you will need to enable JavaScript on your device. This is because AI companies have changed the social contract around website hosting, making it necessary for us to require JavaScript in order to protect our server. Unfortunately, this means that plugins like JShelter will disable modern JavaScript features, which are required to access the challenge proof of work page.
