International Cybersecurity Festival Kicks Off in Moscow
The highly anticipated international cybersecurity festival Positive Hack Days (PHDays Fest) officially opened its doors in Moscow on Thursday, bringing together a who's who of government officials, tech executives, and cybersecurity professionals for one of Russia's largest events focused on information security. The three-day forum is being held at the iconic Luzhniki Olympic Complex, with organizers expecting more than 250,000 attendees and guests to participate.
Delegations from over 40 countries across Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia are taking part in this year's festival, solidifying its position as one of the most significant international events dedicated to cybersecurity. Now in its third year as a large-scale public event, PHDays 2025 will focus on the growing role of technology in daily life, highlighting its importance in maintaining the security of our increasingly digital world.
The program features an impressive lineup of more than 500 speakers, including top Russian officials and senior figures from domestic tech and infrastructure firms. "This year, we've packed our program with exciting stuff for everyone, from budding enthusiasts to seasoned pros," said Victoria Alekseeva, Chief Marketing Officer at Positive Technologies and General Producer of PHDays Fest.
"Attendees will get the inside scoop on the tech that surrounds us and explore exciting cybersecurity career paths," she added. "We've curated a range of technical sessions covering open-source innovation, blockchain, and the role of artificial intelligence in combating cyber threats." These sessions promise to provide attendees with valuable insights into the latest trends and advancements in cybersecurity.
But PHDays Fest isn't just about lectures – it's also a platform for hands-on learning. The festival features a public zone with interactive installations where visitors can explore smart devices and learn how to use them securely. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals of all ages and skill levels to engage with cutting-edge technology and develop essential cybersecurity skills.
In parallel, the closed-door business conference will provide a unique space for industry leaders and government officials to come together and discuss key issues affecting global information security. Among the highlights is Standoff 15, an international cyberbattle where teams from 15 countries – including France, Italy, Germany, Poland, Serbia, Vietnam, Tunisia, Oman, and the UAE – will compete for a five million-ruble (over $63,000) prize.
Participants in Standoff 15 will simulate real-time cyberattacks and defenses across key sectors such as energy, oil and gas, banking, aviation, logistics, and urban infrastructure. This competition promises to be an exhilarating experience for teams from around the world, pushing their skills to the limit as they battle it out for the top prize.
Last year's PHDays Fest drew over 380,000 attendees and viewers worldwide, according to organizers. With its reputation growing by the year, Positive Hack Days is undoubtedly a must-attend event for anyone serious about cybersecurity. Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting your journey in this field, PHDays Fest has something for everyone.
