Legends International Discloses Data Breach Affecting Employees and Visitors

Last November, entertainment venue management firm Legends International revealed a data breach that compromised the sensitive information of its employees and visitors. The company, which manages sports and entertainment venues globally, had detected unauthorized activity on its IT systems on November 9, 2024.

Legends International took swift action to contain the incident, stopping the unauthorized activity and launching an investigation with the assistance of external cybersecurity experts. As a precautionary measure, the company also notified law enforcement authorities.

The data breach notification letter sent to affected individuals revealed that certain Legends files had been accessed and acquired during the unauthorized activity. An internal review was initiated to determine if any personal information was included in those files and to whom it pertained. According to the company, a thorough investigation has been launched to assess the scope of the incident.

Legends International confirmed that they have robust security measures in place before the incident and enhanced them afterward. The company stressed that they are not aware of any misuse of personal data at this time. However, as a precautionary measure, 24 months of free Experian IdentityWorks service is being offered to impacted individuals.

Despite the company's efforts, the exact number of affected individuals remains undisclosed, and technical details about the attack have also not been disclosed. It's worth noting that no criminal group has claimed responsibility for the attack at this time.

Legends International advises all stakeholders to remain vigilant against identity theft or fraud by regularly reviewing account statements and credit history for any unauthorized activity. They recommend enrolling in their credit monitoring service, which provides valuable protection tools to safeguard personal information.
