Elon Musk Fires Back at Anonymous After Warning over Twitter Plans

In a recent exchange between tech mogul Elon Musk and hacking group Anonymous, it's clear that the billionaire is not one to back down from a fight. The 'hacktivist' group, known for exposing corruption and calling out those in power, had previously issued a warning about Musk's plans for Twitter.

Anonymous referenced Donald Trump's relationship with Vladimir Putin as a "love fest" and also mentioned Elon Musk, stating that he was now "pulling the strings in the US government's so-called 'department of government efficiency'". This wasn't the first time Musk had been featured in one of Anonymous' viral warnings, however.

In August, the group had shared a warning about Musk's plans for Twitter, saying: "When Trump loses the election, Elon is going to dissolve and liquidate Twitter." While this never came to pass, Musk saw fit to drag up the post months later. His response was a rather petty one, which went viral among users.

After sharing his post, in which he suggested that Anonymous change their handle to @YourLibtardNews, Musk said: "Change your handle to @YourLibtardNews. It's more accurate." This remark is likely to have struck a chord with the billionaire, given its somewhat confrontational tone.

The response was met with a flurry of replies from Anonymous and other users, some of whom were amused by Musk's antics while others called him out for his behavior. One user even thanked Musk for suggesting a new Twitter livestream name, while another advised that he should focus on using his wealth to help those in need.

Anonymous reiterated their message in their recent warning, stating that "no one voted for Elon on a ballot" and that his self-styled crusade is nothing more than a "bulls**t narrative crafted to justify his own power grab". It's clear that the billionaire is not going to let this one slide anytime soon.

As someone who has spent time online, it's hard to ignore the controversy that surrounds Elon Musk and Twitter. His tendency for sharing controversial posts and streams of shares has followed him for years, long before he purchased the platform in October 2022. So, while his response to Anonymous may have been petty, it's hardly surprising.

It remains to be seen how this exchange will play out, but one thing is certain: Elon Musk is not afraid to take on those who criticize him. And with Anonymous at the helm, it's likely that this saga will continue for a while longer.
