Signal Messaging Non-Imbroglio
The Legacy Media has finally scored what they think is their first "Gotcha" moment, but this time it's more like a laughable misunderstanding. The Democrats are going all out with their outrage, feigning shock and confusion from prepared talking points. It's almost as if they're trying to win the award for most theatrical performance in high school drama.
A Technical Perspective
I'll take a step back and look at this matter through a more technical lens, seasoned with reality and experience. The Obama Team, including Hillary Clinton, was notorious for using non-traditional communication methods to avoid being held accountable under the Federal Records Act. This was during their tenure from 2009-2015.
In fact, the revelation of the Hillary saga forced my team to update Department of Defense Instruction 8170.01 and related Directive-Type Memorandum. The Obama Team's response to the Benghazi crisis was a masterclass in evasiveness, with them instead pointing fingers at an anti-Islamic film as the real culprit.
A Massive Conspiracy?
The use of Signal messaging by the Trump Team has sparked accusations of a massive conspiracy, but I'd argue it's more like an "Oopsie" – a minor blip on the radar. The content of the Signal messages doesn't appear to be classified information, and even the term "War Plans" is being misused by Jeff Goldberg.
The Atlantic's Credibility
Jeff Goldberg's claim that his phone number was in an administration member's contact list raises more questions than answers. Was this a genuine mistake or something more nefarious? It's hard to say, but it's clear that the Left is trying to make something out of nothing.
The Real Question
So, what's the real question here? Is this an example of government insiders leaking sensitive information for personal gain or is it simply a case of misplaced trust? Whatever the answer, it's clear that the Trump Team is taking no chances when it comes to secure communication.
The Unclassified Network
Commercial apps can be used behind the government firewall, and it's possible that Signal was used for this reason. However, the bigger question remains – were there more "Vindman Brothers" inside the government waiting to leak information?
The Larger Picture
This episode, at worst, is an "Oopsie", not a massive conspiracy to bypass the law like the Obama/Biden/Harris/Unidentified Committee of Deep State Staffers have been doing for years. The real question is why Jeff Goldberg's phone number was in an administration member's contact list – and who might have inserted it there.
